This premier event showcases the very best of Hawke’s Bay golf, with competitors playing four outstanding championship courses including Cape Kidnappers (#65 World Top 100, Golf Digest 2025-26). At Cape Kidnappers you will also get to enjoy a sumptuous BBQ lunch with Trinity Hill Wine after your round, enjoying the spectacular views.

 

The Trinity Hill Hawkes Bay 4 Course Golf Classic is perfect for competitive golfers, visiting social groups, and mates’ trips. Come join us and other golfers from around New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia and beyond for this Hawkes Bay event - Sunday 22 November to Friday 27 November 2026.

The Tournament

 

The Trinity Hill Hawkes Bay 4 Course Golf Classic is a 72-hole tournament spread over 5 days – a rest day on the Wednesday allows players time to take in some more wine tasting and to enjoy the many sights of Hawkes Bay.

 

The four rounds are played at:

• Cape Kidnappers - Bucket List Course

• Hastings Golf Club (Bridge Pa)

• Napier Golf Club

• Maraenui Golf Club

 

Each course offering its own character, challenge, and stunning regional backdrop.

Competition Details

• Open to Men and Women golfers aged 20+

• 72-hole individual Stableford competition - with added Gross & Teams prizes

• Prizes awarded daily by gender, and overall prizes will be awarded by handicap and gender

Full Tournament Package is NZD$996 pp

• Deposit payment NZD$350 pp online with entry 

• Final balance with optional extras due by 22 October 2026

• Tournament hotel options available for Quest Napier, Quest Hastings or Porters Havelock North

The Courses - Cape Kidnappers

One of the most dramatic golf courses in the world. Designed by Tom Doak and perched high on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, this is golf with breathtaking views and challenging terrain that feels unlike any other course. 

Key features:

• 18-hole, par-71 championship course with dramatic cliff-edge fairways and deep ravines. 

• Play often features ocean panoramas from almost every hole — especially on the back nine where cliff shots create unforgettable moments. 

• Part of a luxurious golf and resort property; the Rosewood Cape Kidnappers lodge is on site if you want a full stay-and-play experience.

Maraenui

A classic parkland course just minutes from Napier city centre. Maraenui is known for its friendly atmosphere and well-maintained tree-lined fairways. 

Key features:

• 18 holes over about 6,125 m of nicely sculpted parkland with creative bunkers — easy walking but rewarding strategy. 

• Flat and accessible layout makes it ideal for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned players. 

• Excellent value and local club vibe — players are always welcome. 

• Facilities include a pro shop, practice green, driving nets and clubhouse refreshments.

Hastings

A long-established championship 18-hole course celebrated for its immaculate conditions and scenic setting on the Heretaunga Plains. 

Key features:

• Classic parkland design with undulating fairways and well-kept greens. 

• Offers challenging yet fair tests for all golfers. 

• Clubhouse with café and refreshments adds a social finish to your round. 

• Hosted notable national events including the New Zealand PGA Championship.

A charming and historic club course with a traditional parkland layout close to Napier. 

Key features:

• Flat, easy-walking course with tree-lined fairways and tricky doglegs that test accuracy. 

• Greens protected by bunkers and run-offs add subtle challenge even for lower handicaps. 

• Practice facilities and clubhouse dining make it a great warm-up or wrap-up round when exploring other Hawke’s Bay courses.
