The Danang Sixes, Vietnam

2024, September 23 – October 2

Welcome to – The Danang Sixes, Vietnam 2024.

Vietnam speaks for itself and this amazing country is reflected in the people of Danang who welcome international visitors and treat us to a unique experience with their cuisine and hospitality. To add to this is some stunning golf with six magnificent golf courses against a backdrop of dramatic history and spectacular scenery.

Read all about this tour in our colourful brochure - some undeniable highlights include:

BRG Danang, Norman Course - Designed by Greg Norman (2010). Two nines make up this golfing challenge by the Great White Shark; the Dunes and the Ocean courses.  Both courses are a predominantly open layout with undulating terrain and a few slopes to climb. Blown out bunkers are a feature and the greens have always been known to be fast and firm, with fairways lined with seaside vegetation, rugged dunes and waste areas, swales and hollows – all adding up to be a tough but great test of golf.

The second course under the BRG Danang Golf banner - BRG Danang, Nicklaus Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus (2020).  In contrast to the Norman course, Nicklaus has created a masterpiece in and out of swamps and paddy fields.   Holes line the Coco River with views back to Danang, interconnecting lakes and creeks, all add up to what some say are a ‘Floridian’ feel? In fact, many of the materials were imported from the USA.

Designed in 2016 - Ba Na Hills has been transformed into one of the area’s top recreational locations with a 72-hole championship course designed by the winning 2023 Ryder Cup European Captain, Luke Donald.  Ba Na Hills was Donald’s first foray into golf design and, by all accounts, a winner.

Laguna Lang Co was designed by Sir Nick Faldo & opened in 2013. The course lies between the East Vietnam Sea and the coastal mountain range, which is extensively jungle clad. The course has an interesting array of 6 natural habitats to play and wander in, including water, rice paddies, woodlands, dune lands, and beach with sandy ‘blowouts’ to bring you to the 19th.

Perhaps an easy challenge – only time will tell on the day - Vinpearl Nam Hoi An awaits - designed by IMG Services (2018).  Generous wide fairways, not overly penal bunkering and a relatively flat layout.   Vinpearl is a very pleasant challenge, with several scenic ponds, unique drive-through waste areas and rolling dunes lined with Casuarina pines.

And finally - Robert Trent Jones II (2019) Vietnam masterpiece - Hoiana Shores.  A classic links course,  known for rolling dunes, close to the sea and subject to sea breezes, yes Hoiana ticks all these boxes.  Six holes are located directly adjacent to the beach, the course has two distinct nine-hole loops with very little water to worry about.   Bunkers will need to be managed!

Our tournament package includes 6 rounds of golf – all in carts with caddies - staying 6 nights at the 5-star Marriott Beach Resort & Spa - 3 nights at the 5-star Hoiana Hotel & Suites in Hoi An. There is sightseeing at the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Hoi An and the Imperial City of Hue. Our visit to Ba Na Hills, a Frenched themed village, includes the aerial walkway, known as the Golden Bridge.  Amazing – the photos do not lie!  We have fun at a Vietnamese Cooking School – dinner to follow if your culinary skills are up to scratch?

It is with delight that we are now able to offer a programme celebrating all that Danang, and its people, can offer. We hope you might join us and participate in the delights of Danang – we are looking forward to returning to Vietnam and especially to hosting this new tou

Many thanks and tam biet, for now!
