Golf Tours and Tournaments

Hi Denise, Thank you for your welcome message. Jaap did a wonderful job in meeting us immediately upon arrival and getting us situated towards Matakauri with a stop first to replace some lost sunglasses. We love our golf shoe bags, hats and sun products – great welcome presents!  Matakauri Lodge is quite a way to start our trip – it scores a perfect 10 in all ways imaginable. Of course it doesn’t hurt that they put us in a deluxe suite with drop dead views from everywhere!!  Jack’s Point is a real keeper too. What spectacular scenery, colors in all the grasses, the proverbial sheep all around and the course wasn’t too bad either. We only left a few balls behind.We’re off to wine tasting today, our visit to Milford yesterday and flight back, showed that if all you did was go there when you came to NZ, your visit could be complete. WOW! We hope we get a chance to meet you while we’re here in your gorgeous country.Many thanks for all the help you have given in planning our trip. 

We so appreciated your note when we arrived at the Copthorne this evening and are so sorry that we are going to miss meeting you! You and Carla planned such a fabulous trip for us, from the start to the finish. Leaving Kauri Cliffs ( a real 10 of 10 place!)  we were dreading the re-entry to urban living and the perfect stop was a round at Gulf Harbour. We had met a lovely couple at Huka who are from Auckland and are members at Gulf Harbour. When we checked into the Pro Shop there, the assistant told us that Ginny Sturm had called ahead and told us to pick out a hat from her as they were still on vacation! What a lovely gesture! When we played at Waireki, we chatted with the four ladies in front of us, one of whom had been an owner and they were such fun, so gracious and welcoming. We love your country and all those we have met and talked to. All the accomodations were wonderful, the order in which they came, their differences and their distances apart. Having only one long driving day was great (for my driver!) We hope you have a great golf weekend, wherever you are as we just realized that it is a long weekend in all of New Zealand. Hello Denise and Kim, Just wanted to pass on my thanks for such a great event that was held over the weekend. Having only played for just over a year it is hard to find playing partners. So i thank you for taking the time and effort in being able to supply a partner.  It was even better we were able to win three out of our four games and win the div 2 plate. Its not about winning its about a very well run event. Both you and Kim always had a smile and more than happy to help. Hi Denise & Kim, I guess by now you are both back in the office and working on your next "parnz" golf tournament  - such a shame to have to leave   "PARADISE". Just want to say a huge thank you to you both for the time and effort you must put in to make the Villa Challenge such a wonderful week.  The Mortens and  Bill and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Fiji, loved meeting new people and renewing old acquaintances and of course playing the Denerau course. Next year I had better play a bit better or I might be relegated to Manager!! Thanks also to Shari who obviously keeps the home fires burning. Bula Kim and Denise, Seems we have made the local papers in Fiji. Thank you for making the arrangements to allow Kris and I to enter the competition at such late notice, and for arranging for Bridget and Edwina to play with us.  We now have two really good friends to keep in touch with and perhaps play with again next year. We are seriously considering returning next year to defend our title and hopefully with a bit more local support from our club.  Everyone we spoke to were thrilled with the way the event was run and all credit to you and Denise.  You are both getting a reputation for running good fun professional events that are worth entering.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and making it into the prizes was rather a shock – and certainly a bonus. Cris and I have been so enthusiastic about what fun it was, that I fear you’ll be inundated by RWGC girls next year. You and Denise deserve great credit – how you managed for four and a half days to stay relaxed, friendly and in good humour with a tournament and 88 women to organise is quite beyond me.  What an amazing feat.
